Francesco Albinati is Deputy Head of the Information and Communication Unit at the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) and holds a master's degree in Political Science. 

He is an expert in political communication and social media, with a particular focus on privacy and data protection, digital rights and Artificial Intelligence. 

Francesco was co-project manager of the EDPS pilot project on two alternative and decentralised EU-branded social media platforms, EU Voice and EU Video, that aimed to contribute to the European Union's strategy for data and digital sovereignty to foster Europe's independence in the digital world.
