DPOs’ Agora - How to be a DPO: between a rock and a hard place
Join us for a stimulating discussion with Data Protection Officers (DPOs) from various public bodies and enterprises. Our panel features representatives from the Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT), the Brussels Intercommunal Transport company (STIB/MIVB), the Single Resolution Board (SRB), the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (FRONTEX), the European External Action Service (EEAS), as moderator.
The discussion will spotlight the challenging role of DPOs in the public sector, offering a dynamic mix of experiences and perspectives. Our speakers will delve into the complexities of the DPO function, sharing real-life examples related to access requests, complaints, data breaches, and more. They will provide invaluable advice, share personal experiences, and reveal effective strategies to handle difficult situations, and more generally interactions with data subjects, controllers, or supervisory authorities, and how to avoid being between the rock and the hard place.
The DPO Agora welcomes you to join and ‘listen in’, share your experience and engage in a lively, interactive discussion in a real ‘agora spirit’.
